Vertigo Grill & Moon Bar PDF Print E-mail
Vertigio Grill and Moon BarVertigo at Banyan Tree Hotel is not for the faint-hearted. On top of 61th floor and the railing is roughly at waist height. 360 degrees killer view of Bangkok is the entertainment you will find. Vertigo and its Moon Bar are tops for great views, less good for staying dry though, since it has no roof. A chic open-air lounge popular with the cocktail-drinking glamour set and Amex carrying expats, the restaurant does good barbecued seafood and Asian-inspired dishes such as lamb in Japanese Green Tea crust, but mostly you’re here for the drink and scenery. Bangkok's cityscape, the winding Chao Praya river and the soccer ball sun sinking below the horizon are best enjoyed with a glass of fine Crystal, or wine and cocktails. Indulge in barbecued seafood, champagne and a wide selection of cocktails, wines-by-the-glass and non-alcoholic drinks. Innovative a-la-minute BBQ items include 'Red Mullet en Papillote with Thyme', 'Grilled Scallops in a Shell with Toasted Hazelnut and Coriander Butter' and 'Grilled Oysters with Parmesan Cheese'. Irresistible. Definitely a place to chill out and enjoy the view. There's so much emphasis on mood lighting, you might have to read the menu with a torchlight.
